Many MicroTrends NinjaTrader Indicators current and future will also have a strategy which can be used to tune the indicator. The strategy version can be run within the NinjaTrader Strategy Analzyer - so you can optimise, backtest and walkforwards - store the results of the tests and obtain the best settings for you and your chosen instrument/ timeseries...
To assist discretionary traders all strategies will have an unlimited free license for backtesting and replay accounts for NinjaTrader 6.5 and NinjaTrader 7.0.
This means users of indicators can tune without the need for purchasing a strategy.
Strategies will also have a trial license for sim and live account trading.
So if you a mechanical trader using a strategy for sim or live trading - a license must be subscribed to after the trial period - unless reasonable grounds for an extension exits such as: "I needed more time to learn and where is that documentation...?"
